End of Competition?

So the competition was scheduled to end last week, however there was no scale available last week, so I'm still waiting to weigh-in. On the upside, I am now down to around 250, and today I pulled out an old pair of pants from my closet, and they are no longer uncomfortably tight. I'm getting back to around where I was several years ago. My final goal is 180, which I have a long way to go, very long. But I have charted my course of losing 3 pounds a week, and thus far I am right on target. At this rate I'll reach 180 on May 10th, 2010. I have added a badge on my page which shows my weekly progress, and current stats. Abisha has also started on the same program with me, and she is also on the weight loss train. So far so good, and the positive reinforcement from this program is excellent. It's so nice to see a nice steady decline instead of up and down. It sends the right feedback to get things working nicely instead of the up and down feedback of just using a weight unmodified by statistics.

Competition Begins

I weighed in yesterday for my company's weight loss competition. The weight was 266.5, which is not the most I've weighed, but nearly. I set my target at 210. The competition is being divided into male and female with all the proceeds split 50/50. Now that I think about it, shouldn't it just be divided into two competitions? My goal with this is to track how I'm doing and possibly find the best foods that encourage my body to burn fat. So in that spirit today I had a grapefruit for breakfast, followed by a yogurt, apple and salad for lunch. I'll weight in tonight to see how I'm doing so far.
